SAFAR is a 1h23 documentary film I created, following a five-month motorbike journey from Switzerland to India that two friends and I undertook at the age of 20, right after high school. Crossing 13 countries and riding over 18,000 km, it is currently the biggest video project I’ve made, blending travel, adventure and personal growth.

Through this film, I wanted to capture the intensity of the road, the encounters along the way and the mindset of young people pushing their limits, with the aim of inspiring others to step out of their comfort zone and explore the world.

For those of you who don’t have time to watch the full film, here’s a short trailer that offers a glimpse into the journey.

If you’d like to experience the journey in depth, here is the full 1h23 film.

Avant-premiere in Sion

We organised an avant-premiere of SAFAR in the HES building in Sion and ended up doing two sessions, both of which were full. It was a special moment to finally share the film on a big screen with people around us.

Photo exhibition at Café du Nord

After the screenings, we set up a photo exhibition at Café du Nord in Sion, with a selection of images from the trip. The prints stayed on the walls for about three months and kept the spirit of the journey alive in a different way.

“Coup de cœur” prize – City of Sion

SAFAR was selected for a contest organised by the city of Sion, where it received the “coup de cœur” prize, along with an award of CHF 3,000. It was a nice recognition for the project and the story behind it.

Festival “Les Rencontres de l’Aventure” – Bulle

The film was also selected for the festival “Les Rencontres de l’Aventure” in Bulle, dedicated to travel and adventure stories. Presenting SAFAR there allowed the journey to reach a new audience beyond our local circle.
